Women at work: Not having to choose!
“We shouldn’t have to choose between being good moms and being dedicated to our careers”. The availability of on-site child care, lactation programs and paid medical leaves are a must! I want to share this video with you, which shows how Patagonia uses on-site child care facilities to stimulate women to be both moms and working women.
Having an on-site child care facility stimulates gender inclusion. Companies should see the value of gender inclusion and gain better understanding of gender perspectives. Of course is reporting about how women are included within the company very important. GRI published a guide on Embedding Gender in Sustainability Reporting a while ago. Have a look and read it, even though focussed on the G3 guidelines, it’s still interesting to read! See how EY Switzerland promotes gender diversity and includes it in its sustainability report:
